Save the Dinosaurs from extinction!
Save the Dinosaurs from extinction!
For over a decade the electric dinosaurs created by Ward Pennebaker have graced the Norhill Esplanade during the holidays. They’ve become a highlight for families enjoying the holiday lights. The project has grown over the years, to the point where it now requires the help of professional lighting company to safely stage, strike, store and repair the displays.
The past couple of years a small group of neighbors have quietly funded this effort. They are now seeking help from the broader neighborhood to ensure that the dinosaurs continue to be a treasured part of Lights in the Heights. Yes, it’s your opportunity to save these dinosaurs from extinction!
The funds collected in support of the dinosaurs will be used to hire a professional lighting contractor. The contractor has been helping Ward for several years. Their staff are able to safely setup the dinosaurs, which is a physically demanding task. They take them down at the end of the holiday season. They also store them in the off-season, making repairs as necessary. This free’s Ward Pennebaker for focus on creating exciting new designs.
