Max is in 3rd grade, and Margot is in 1st at Travis Elementary. Their mom, Katherine Robinson gave us some background on what inspired the design,

"Max & Margot Robinson have been roaming around the Woodland Heights since we had to carry them. December is the nicest time of year in Houston, so we walk/scoot/bike around the neighborhood most evenings and enjoy the lights. We thought about what else we saw on those walks: the Sycamore trees on Woodland, the Oaks on Bayland, the art park on Euclid, the dinosaurs on the esplanade, and a tractor pulling happy families sitting on hay bales through the neighborhood. But when we asked them how do you know when you are home they said, 'When we see the sign!' So blue tiles it was because every time we return to our beautiful neighborhood from dinner or an after-school activity, they see the Woodland Heights sign with its blue and white tiles and they know they are home. They were so excited to hear their design was chosen!"

Max and Margo's design will be featured on this year's Ornament, which will is now available for pre-orders in the WHCA store for those who want to get their holiday shopping in early. Delivery of your ornament will be during the Friday Night Lights event scheduled for December 12 on the Norhill Esplanade.
