Officer Reports

R.C. Hayden: R.C. reported the following: 280 memberships -------- $8,305.00.

Extra donations----------- $3,140.00.

There was an end of year operating loss of just over $5,000.00 due to expenses associated with Deed Restriction enforcement being higher than budgeted.

Mike Thompson:  Not Present ( Tony Maluski gave his report)  Mike attended the Centennial Meeting on 4-5-07.  The tiled curbs were discussed at length, and they plan to price having some reinstalled in their original location.  Alternative uses of the tiles in the Norhill Esplanade was not thought to be of best use by several people in attendance.  Lowering utilities below grade was discussed, but cost wise, it would be prohibitive (over $100K).  Possibility of one phone canister, instead of two.  After the meeting, Mike solicited the opinion of several Esplanade residents, and they would like to see it remain as is: grassy, open, with no structures.  Mike suggests that we not commit to walkways, raised flower beds, seating, etc. without a lot of further discussion.

No further information on I45.

Sharon Greiff:  Sharon will continue to push the neighborhood toward 100% minimum lot size.  We are currently about 50% covered.  Hopefully we will be able to obtain setbacks.  Historic designation is another project she will be working on for the neighborhood.

Tony Maluski and George Fereday: Tony reported that Deed Restrictions has become too big a project for one person, so he will be the enforcer, and George will be the pro-activist.  They are hoping that the Neighborhood Watch will be able to spot D R violations and report them on their patrols.  We currently have one (1) house under litigation.  Allegro design professionals have been cooperative with D R violations when it has been brought to their attention.  The city does have ordinances concerning trees  The Parks Dept. will come out and make the decision on the preservation of a tree, but it must be on city right of way, and they must be on the cities list of preserved trees.  This info is available on the city website.  Felicia suggested that we all carry pen and paper on our walks and make a list of any suspicious D R violations.

Beth Martin:  Beth plans to draft a poll on the use of advertising in the NL.  She will also continue with Citizens on Patrol until the Board fills the open position.

Vicky Bettis:  Not present.  Her membership report is reflected in R.C. Hayden’s report.

Debora Dunten provided her wonderful chocolate cookies.  THANK YOU!

Brigette Larson won the Door Prize.

Felicia adjourned the meeting at 8:20 P.M.
